Shire horses are one of the big gentle workhorse breeds. Powerful Paul stands 18.2 (6 feet tall at the withers) hands tall including his fully feathered feet. Shires are called gentle giants. This horse's eyes display the gentle way that he goes through life. Workhorses have been partners to farmers for generations. Working breeds were bred for their willingness as well as their strength. |
