Horses can be very bold in their manner. Is it really their personality or instinctual body language? Direct eye contact can be a challenge to horses. Horse owners who can look eye to eye with their horse and feel comfortable have a special relationship. This horse painting is one in a series of three horse paintings including the "Gray Paint" and the "Appy". They are all mixed media and are an ink base mesh drawing showing the topography of the horse's head with a wash over them of layers of acrylic very thinned out to achieve the color blending. |
