Appaloosa Horse Art Painting

Some horses touch our hearts in their shy sideways glances. They want to be close to us but are apprehensive and watchful, yet hopeful. Appaloosa horses with their white lined eyes always look a little wary. This makes them special when we finally win their hearts. Appaloosa horses come in many color patterns from just a few dots to full bold spots.

This horse painting is one in a series of three horse paintings including the "Gray Paint" and the "Chestnut". They are all mixed media and are an ink base mesh drawing showing the topography of the horse's head with a wash over them of layers of acrylic very thinned out to achieve the color blending.
