Denice Lewis is best known for strutting down a catwalk wearing the latest European fashions. You might also recognize her from the many fashion magazines such as Vogue, Town & Country, Tatler, and more that she has been on the cover of and in editorials inside over the past several years. You also might have seen Denice on television in a variety of well know series such as Red Shoe Diaries, Burkes Law, Renegade, and Silk Stalkings - or at the movie theaters in feature films such as End of Days with Arnold Schwarzenegger, I Woke Up Early the Day I Died with Billy Zane (Titanic), Sandra Bernhardt, and John Ritter. However, her creative talents are definitely not limited to her beauty and her acting.
Denice has a gallery full of original abstract art that is creating quite a stir in the art world today. Her creative process, her artwork, and her media are equally interesting. Denice explains, "I just hold the brush, meditate on the subject for a few minutes - and the artwork seems to create itself as if by magic. It feels a bit like channeling energy.” Recent years have reinforced her spiritual faith, which allows the paintings that she creates to flourish. Everyone sees something different in the images that appear out of her work. My six-year-old Goddaughter loves Denice's work because your own mind decides what you are looking at; amazingly, when I asked her what the piece Antares Heart was of, she exclaimed confidently, "It's a GREAT big star," (and it is).
Recently, Denice Lewis has been the buzz of art news all over the world for her latest controversial creations in mixed media. It started as a favor for a close friend who asked Denice to create a memorial painting using the ashes of his dearly departed mother.
